The Bulls scores an impressive 60 points in the first half and ended up winning the rebounding battle by a 52-41 margin as they coasted to the double digit victory. The Bulls were led in scoring by Jimmy Butler who pumped in 25 points on 8-14 shooting in 24 plus minutes and Derrick Rose who scored 23 points on 9-16 shooting in just 27 plus minutes. The Bulls ended up shooting 12-32 37.5 percent from three point range but did committ 19 turnovers as a team.

The Bucks were led in scoring by Khris Middleton who scored 18 points on 7-17 shooting in 34 plus minutes. The Bucks were really held in check as a team by a stifling Bulls defense that held the Bucks to just 39.3 percent from the field on 35-89 shooting. The Bucks were really woeful from downtown as they shot just 4-16 from three point range. Game 1 was really a mismatch on many levels and we simply can’t see how things will change in Game 2 on Chicago’s home court. Every game that Rose plays he should get better as he is still getting back to 100% after his injury and Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau is not the type of coach to allow his players to get complacent and overlook a team that they clearly should dominate. Game 2: New Orleans Hornets @ Golden State Warriors Betting Preview

The Golden State Warriors showed why they are one of the top favorites in the latest odds to win the 2015 NBA Finals as they opened up a 59-41 halftime lead over the New Orleans Hornets in Game 1 and ended up holding on for a 106-99 win at Oracle Arena. The final score was a lot closer than the game really was as the Warriors were up big by 25 points late in the 3rd quarter before they started resting their starters and New Orleans made a 4th quarter push to draw within 4 points in the final minute. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 34 points on 13-25 shooting in 40 plus minutes while Anthony Davis led the Hornets with 35 points on 13-23 shooting in 40 minutes.

Game 1 got of hand early for the Hornets and that can’t happen again if they want to realistically have a shot at evening up this series in Game 2. The Hornets gained a lot of confidence in that 4th quarter comeback in Game and especially Davis as he pumped in 20 of his game high 35 in the last quarter. Was that last quarter comeback a sign of things to come or was it simply a product of the Warriors taking their foot of the gas? We lean towards the latter as the Warriors were simply head and shoulders above the Hornets in virtually every facet of the game for the first three quarters and we see no reason to think they will not come out even more focused in Game 2 now that the Hornets and Davis got their attention in the last 12 minutes of Game 1.
