Game 4: Los Angeles Clippers @ San Antonio Spurs Betting Preview

The defending NBA World Champion San Antonio Spurs look to take a strangle hold of their series against the Los Angeles Clippers by going up 3-1 if they can get the job done Sunday at the AT&T Center in San Antonio. The Spurs went up 2-1 in this series by winning Game 3 at home in an absolutely dominating performance as the Spurs won 100-73 in a blowout. The Spurs were led by outstanding small forward Kawhi Leonard who pumped in a game high 32 points on an amazing 13-18 shooting from the floor including 3-5 from three point range. Not bad for a guy that was awarded the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award before the game as he continues to make his case for a maximum contract offer this summer in free agency.

This series was one that we expected to go 6 or 7 games before the series began and we have not changed our opinion after watching the first three games. The Game 3 blow out was a little shocking but understood when you consider the fact the Clippers lost a heartbreaking overtime game at home in Game 2 to lose home court advantage in this series. Now the Clippers backs are firmly against the wall in game 4 and we expect Doc Rivers’ crew to respond. We look for a tight game to the wire and we’ll put our cash down on the LA Clippers getting +6 points on the spread to make us winners.

Game 4: Houston Rockets @ Dallas Mavericks Betting Preview

The Houston Rockets are on the verge of accomplishing something that is about as sweet as it gets for their fans, players and front office. A series sweep in the 1st round against their Lone Star State rivals to the north in the Dallas Mavericks. Kevin McHale’s crew showed some real grit in winning Game 3 on the road against the Mavericks by overcoming a 7 point halftime deficit and winning 130-128 to go up 3-0 in this series. The Rockets received a game high 42 point effort from all star guard James Harden in Game 3 as he went 15-24 from the floor including 5-7 from long range. The Mavericks received 34 points apiece from guard Monta Ellis and forward Dirk Nowitzki but it wasn’t enough for the Mavs to pull out the win.

The Mavericks are down 3-0 in this series and almost everyone is expecting them to get ousted in Game 4. However, in the words of the great Lee Corso, not so fast my friends. The Mavericks are a prideful group and Nowitzki is a warrior and great leader. He will get the team ready to play in game 4 and we firmly expect the Mavericks to come out gunning in front of their home crowd and avoid an embarrassing sweep to the Rockets. We’ll take the +2.5 points with the home underdog Dallas Mavericks to get us the money on Sunday.

2015 NBA Playoffs Free Picks & Expert Predictions - Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers Game 1 Preview

2015 NBA Playoffs Free Picks & Expert Predictions – Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers Game 1 Preview

2015 NBA Playoffs Free Picks & Expert Predictions – Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers Game 1 Preview: Lebron James begins his quest to bring the Cleveland Cavaliers their first ever NBA Championship and the city of Cleveland’s first professional sports championship in any sport since 1964 when he leads his Cleveland Cavaliers against the Boston Celtics in the 1st game of a seven game series on Sunday. The game is set to tip off at 3:05 PM EST from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland and the NBA betting odds at Bovada Sportsbook have the Cavaliers listed as -11.5 point favorites with the total at over/under 203 points. Let’s take a look at this matchup and find out who we are going to place our money on to make some money betting on the 2015 NBA Playoffs Sunday.

2015 Free NBA Playoffs Picks: Boston Celtics @ Cleveland Cavaliers Game 1 Betting Odds and Expert NBA Predictions

The #7 seeded Boston Celtics are a surprise entry into the 2015 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs after finishing 40-42 overall in what was supposed to be another rebuilding year for the Celtics that was to earn them another lottery pick. However, those plans were foiled largely due to the extraordinary coaching effort by head coach Brad Stevens. The 38 year-old former head coach of Butler University is in only his 2nd NBA season as a head coach but already is one of the Top 5 head coaches in the game in our opinion. Yes, folks, the guy is simply that good. Stevens led a team that was under constant turnover throughout the season up until the trade deadline as Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge traded away arguably the Celtics’ top two players in Rajon Rondo and Jeff Green among others. Those trades, however, turned into gold as the team chemistry improved and the Celtics really started to gel under Stevens’ tutelage.

The trade that really sprung the Celtics from an afterthought around the league and into a team that had to be taken serious was the trade for former Phoenix Suns guard Isiah Thomas. The 5-9, 185 pound diminutive guard really excelled in being the 6th man for the Celtics down the stretch and he averaged a stellar 19 points per game and 5.4 assists for Boston in 21 games since being acquired. The Celtics as a team finished the season on a 6-0 run and an impressive 6-0 against the spread.

The Cleveland Cavaliers enter the 2015 NBA Playoffs with the best odds to win the 2015 NBA Championship according to the odds makers at Bovada. The Cavs finished the regular season with an overall record of 53-29 including 31-10 overall at home. The Cavaliers started of the season poorly and much of the talk around the NBA was about the rift that seemed to exist between Lebron James and the rest of his teammates. Many people wondered if a shoot first guard in Kyrie Irving and a power forward that was used to hoisting up shots at will in Kevin Love could co-exist with Lebron who loves to have the ball in his hands. However, the Cavs finished the second half of the season as arguably the best team in the NBA and appear ready to make a deep run in the NBA Playoffs.

The Cavaliers beat the Celtics in the first two matchups between these teams with wins by scores of 122-121 and 110-79. However, the Celtics came back and won two games against the Cavaliers in the past few week in games that were more important to Boston than Cleveland as they won by scores of 99-90 and 117-78. The talent level of these two teams is not close in our eyes. Cleveland has the superior talent by far and the more veteran ball club. However, don’t underestimate the coaching ability of Stevens and the tenacity that the Celtics team has played with as they’ve made their playoff run the past couple months. We look for this series to go longer than the experts are predicting and we expect Boston to be in most, if not all, the games. We look for the Cavs to win Game 1 but we’ll take the +11.5 points with Boston to get us the money. Get more free NBA expert picks daily on our top NBA play page.

2015 NBA Playoffs Odds, Free Picks & Predictions – Dallas Mavericks @ Houston Rockets Game 1 Preview

2015 NBA Playoffs Odds, Free Picks & Predictions – Dallas Mavericks @ Houston Rockets Game 1 Preview: The 2015 NBA Playoffs begin on Saturday and we can’t wait. The game we are focusing in on Saturday in the NBA Western Conference to try and make some money on is the Game 1 matchup between two Lone Star state teams when the Dallas Mavericks travel south to take on the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center at 9:35 PM EST. The NBA betting odds for this matchup at Bovada Sportsbook have the Houston Rockets favored by -5 points on the spread line and the total is currently sitting at over/under 210.5 points. Let’s take a closer look into this exciting matchup Saturday night and see if we can pinpoint the best team to place our money on.

2015 Free NBA Playoffs Picks: Dallas Mavericks @ Houston Rockets Game 1 Betting Odds and Expert NBA Predictions

The Dallas Mavericks come into this series having finished 50-32 overall in the regular season but a money burning 35-44-3 against the spread. Head coach Rick Carlisle has had to really earn his money this season as he’s had to fit in three new starters from last year’s club in center Tyson Chandler, forward Chandler Parsons and point guard Rajon Rondo. Carlisle has really had his work cut out for him in managing the moody Rondo as the former Celtic and Carlisle clashed in a profanity laced argument in the middle of a game this season. Rondo has been somewhat of a disappointment since being acquired via a trade with Boston as he’s averaged 9.3 points per game and 6.5 assists to go with 2.9 turnovers and an atrocious 45.2 free throw percentage in 28.4 minutes per game.

The Mavericks enter the postseason struggling on the road as they are just 4-8 straight up in their last 12 road games and 3-9 against the spread. Dallas will need to put it all together in this series if it doesn’t want to get embarrassed against a younger and more talented Rockets team. Dallas can lean on the fact that it is 13-6 in it’s last 19 games playing in Houston although they did go 0-2 at Houston this season. The Mavericks are mostly healthy heading into this series with only day-to-day minor injuries by Devin Harris(foot) and Chandler Parsons(knee) warranting injury report notes.

Head coach Kevin McHale has his Houston Rockets heading into the 2015 NBA Western Conference Playoffs believing they can make some big time noise. The Rockets finished the regular season an impressive 56-26 overall and are led by NBA MVP candidate James Harden who averages 27.4 points per game to go with 7 assists and 5.7 rebounds. The explosive 6-5, 220 pound native of Bellflower, California swingman is looking to quiet his critics who claim he is nothing but a stat padder who is incapable of leading a team far in the postseason. Frankly, we have some of the same doubts ourselves but we do feel this series is tailor made to his game and he should be able to put up monster numbers against the Mavericks.

The Rockets are a very tough team to beat at the Toyota Center as they went 30-11 in the regular season a terrific 26-15 against the spread. They Rockets closed the regular season playing outstanding basketball as they finished 10-3 straight up in their last 13 games. The Rockets will be without the services of the feisty Patrick Beverley as the 6-1, 185 pound guard is out with a wrist injury as well as 7 foot, 222 pound forward Donatas Motiejunas who is out with a back injury.

The Rockets won three out of the four regular season meetings with the Mavericks in the regular season including both games in Houston by scores of 95-92 and 99-94. We look for the Rockets to take Game 1 in this series but we do like the points with Dallas. We simply feel Dallas is the veteran type of team that turns it on when the bright lights of the NBA Playoffs come on and we feel they are too well coached and talented to let this game get out of hand. This game should be close within the final 3 minutes and we’ll take the dog and Dallas getting +5 points. Get more expert NBA picks for the 2015 NBA Playoffs.
