2015 The Players Championship Odds, Predictions & Free Picks – Favorites and Sleepers at TPC Sawgrass

2015 The Players Championship Odds, Predictions & Free Picks – Favorites and Sleepers at TPC Sawgrass: The early betting odds to win the 2015 The Players Championship to be held this Thursday, May 7th thru Sunday, May 10th at the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida have been posted on our PGA odds page from Bovada Sportsbook. The PGA pro with the best odds to win The Players Championship this week is Rory McIlroy at 7/1 odds. The Players Championship is a par 72 tournament that is played on a gorgeous course that stretches over 7,215 yards. The total prize fund for the tournament is $10 million and that is the biggest prize fund of any tournament on the PGA Tour. The Players Championship in 2015 will be the 42nd of all-time and this event is unofficially considered to be the “5th Major” on the PGA Tour.

2015 The Players Championship Odds & Predictions – The Favorites

Rory McIlroy is the 7/1 favorite to win the 2015 Players Championship and the 26 year-old native of Northern Ireland is more than a deserving choice. The 5-9, 161 pound pro has been playing professionally since 2007 and has 17 professional wins under his belt including an impressive 10 wins on the PGA Tour. McIlroy has already won four “Majors” in his young career and will be looking to add his first “5th Major” win to his resume this week at TPC Sawgrass at The Players Championship. McIlroy comes into this week’s big event riding high after winning the WGC-Cadillac Match Play Championship on May 3rd TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. The win allowed McIlroy to add his name to an exclusive list with Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus as the only PGA players to win 10 events and 4 “Majors” on the PGA Tour by the age of 25. McIlroy just made that list as he turned 26 on May 4th.

Jordan Spieth comes into the 2015 The Players Championship with the second best odds to win at 15/2 at Bovada. The 21 year-old native of Dallas, Texas has been having a sensational 2015 PGA season so far as he has already won twice on the tour this calendar year. Spieth won his 2nd career PGA tournament on March 15th at the Valspar Championship and won his 3rd career PGA tournament and first “Major” on April 12th when he won the Masters Tournament at Augusta to go home with the prestigious “Green Jacket”. Spieth is ranked #2 in the official World Golf Rankings and is an excellent play to win the 2015 The Players Championship in our opinion.

2015 The Players Championship Odds & Predictions – The Sleepers

A few top PGA pros that we consider solid “Sleepers” to possibly win this week at TPC Sawgrass with some nice longshot odds include past Players Championship winners in Matt Kuchar(2012 Champion) at 40/1 odds and Henrick Stenson(2009 Champion) at 20/1 odds. Tiger Woods is the only two-time past champion of The Players playing this week and he is carrying 28/1 odds to win at Bovada. However, we see no reason to think or believe Tiger has a realistic shot to win this week.
